In most cases, no. The motor is built into the headrail during manufacturing. Retrofitting an existing blind with a motor is rarely practical and usually not cost effective. A new custom motorized blind is the right solution.
Quality motors are rated for 50,000 to 100,000 operating cycles. At ten operations per day that is between 13 and 27 years of normal use. All motors we install are covered by our 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
